Chris "CJ" Shaffner

Chris joins Arnold Law Office from Umatilla County, Oregon, where she served as a Deputy District Attorney, and more recently, as a Public Defender, giving her a wealth of jury trial experience. Prior to her focus on criminal law, Chris spent several years in private practice as a family law attorney.

Law is Ms. Shaffner's second career. After a successful career as a computer Systems Analyst in Seattle, Chris returned to school to finish her degree, graduating from the University of Arizona Summa Cum Laude. During her time as a student, she worked as an apprentice electrician, certified nursing assistant, and painter. 

After graduating from the University of Oregon with her Juris Doctor degree, and prior to taking the Oregon Bar Exam, she served as a law clerk for the Honorable Douglas Mitchell of the Lane County Circuit Court.

In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, snowshoeing, kayaking, cycling, gardening, home remodeling and reading a wide variety of books.
