Jessica May

Trial Attorney

Attorney Practice Philosophy

The law is often a difficult field to navigate, and Jessica considers it a privilege to assist clients as they face difficult and challenging situations which can significantly impact their lives.

Education and Background

Jessica was raised in Eugene, Oregon, and is a 2005 graduate of Marist Catholic High School. After graduating from Marist, Jessica moved to Omaha, Nebraska to attend college at Creighton University, where she majored in International Relations. As an undergraduate, Jessica served as the president of Panhellenic Council, during which time she worked closely with the university’s administration to develop the school’s Greek community and enhance the university’s relationship with the greater Omaha community through outreach programs. Following graduation, Jessica began her studies at Creighton University School of Law, where it quickly became apparent that her ability to analyze and present an argument made her perfectly suited for the courtroom.

Employment History

While honing her trial skills, Jessica worked as a senior certified law student for the United States Attorney’s of Nebraska and was awarded the Excellence for the Future Award for her performance in Trial Practice. After earning her J.D. in 2012, Jessica returned to Oregon where she worked as a physician contract administrator for Peace Health in Portland, and where she serves on the board of directors of the Michael J. Dwyer Foundation.  She moved from Portland to Eugene to be close to friends and family and accepted a position as a trial attorney with Arnold Law in 2014.  Since joining Arnold Law, Jessica has successfully defended clients in cases ranging from major state and federal felony criminal cases, restraining order and stalking order matters, DUIIs, and complex custody and divorce matters.

Career Honors

  • Oregon Rising Star in Family Law for two years in a row (only up to 2.5% of Oregon attorneys are given the honor)

Hobbies and Interests

Many of Jessica’s interests stem from her Italian heritage, including cooking, wine tasting, and spending as much time as possible with family that includes her husband and 3 adorable little ones (two sons and a daughter). An avid sports fan, Jessica enjoys cheering on the Oregon Ducks and her Creighton Bluejays.  She is also an active supporter of Marist Catholic High School, having served as past chair of the school’s annual auction.
